UGREEN NASync DXP4800 Plus
The UGREEN NASync DXP4800 Plus is an impressive first-generation NAS that combines modern hardware with a polished user experience. It isn't perfect, but it's an excellent option for home users looking to build a personal cloud.
UGREEN could have played it safe with its first NAS, but instead it built something that genuinely competes with established brands. The DXP4800 Plus feels well made, runs quietly, and offers enough performance for media storage, backups, and even light virtualization.
The software is refreshingly easy to navigate, especially for users setting up a NAS for the first time. While it doesn't yet have the maturity or app ecosystem of Synology or QNAP, it covers the features most people actually use.
If you're already invested in another NAS platform, there's probably no reason to switch. But if you're buying your first NAS, the DXP4800 Plus deserves a spot near the top of your shortlist.
