ASUS ROG Ally X
The ROG Ally X takes everything that made the original Ally appealing and fixes many of its biggest weaknesses. Longer battery life alone makes it a much easier handheld PC to recommend.
The original ROG Ally impressed with its performance but disappointed with its battery life. The Ally X addresses that issue in a big way, making longer gaming sessions far more practical.
Performance remains excellent, comfortably handling modern PC games while maintaining the flexibility of Windows. The controls feel solid, the display is vibrant, and the extra RAM gives demanding games a little more breathing room.
Windows on a handheld still isn't perfect, and you'll occasionally deal with desktop-style menus that weren't designed for a controller. Even so, the Ally X feels like a much more complete product than its predecessor and is one of the best handheld gaming PCs available today.
