AiDot Matter Smart Plug
The AiDot Matter Smart Plug looks appealing on paper, but unreliable connectivity and a frustrating setup process make it one of the weaker smart plugs we've tested.
Matter is supposed to simplify the smart home experience, but the AiDot Smart Plug often does the opposite. Initial setup can be inconsistent, devices occasionally disappear from smart home apps, and reconnecting them is more work than it should be.
When it works, the plug performs its basic function well enough. The problem is trusting that it'll still be connected tomorrow. That's not something you should have to worry about with a smart plug.
With excellent alternatives from TP-Link, Eve, and Meross available for similar prices, there's little reason to choose this one.
